Parent Teacher Association

The DeWitt School District PTA is an active organization of interested parents, teachers, and community members who serve the schools in a variety of ways. Many useful items have been purchased for a number of programs in the schools through funds available through PTA.

Meetings

The Dewitt School District PTA meets at 6:00 p.m. in the DeWitt Elementary School library. Check the district calendar for upcoming meetings.

Membership

We now have 131 members! That is wonderful! Last year we had approximately 106 members so we are growing! It is time to announce the winners of the membership drive. The winning classes will each have an ice cream party on an upcoming Friday at 2:30 pm. If you are willing to help serve the ice cream, please contact Deana Wood, Membership Committee Chairperson, at this email address: deanawood@centurytel.net.

We are so thankful for those that have volunteered to donate precious time for the benefit of our children. The winners are: K - Keta Turner, 1 - Traci Davis, 2 - Amy Rosegrant, 3 - Jessi Logan, 4 - Jordan Eason, 5 - Nancy Corley.

Box Tops for Education

The DeWitt School District Parent Teacher Association will once again be participating in the Box Tops for Education program.  Each box top collected is worth $.10 for our schools.  Please cut out box top emblems on participating food packages and begin collecting for your student to take to their school.  Each class will have their donations tallied and a surprise will be awarded to the top class in each school.  Click below for a list of participating products.

Kroger Cards

Let’s Go Krogering! How can you earn money for our school while grocery shopping? 1. Order a Kroger gift card ($5). (This is a special card coded specifically for DeWitt PTA.) 2. Load it with your shopping money. 3. Shop for your groceries. 4. Use your gift card to pay for the groceries. 5. Kroger will give 5% of what you spend to DeWitt PTA. It’s that easy.

Faculty Donations

The DeWitt PTA accepts donation requests from district staff for equipment, supplies, and enhancements to the district classrooms. Donations will be awarded based on need and the educational impact of students, classroom instruction, and improving student learning. Donation recipients will be required to return to a future PTA meeting to give a report on the outcome resulting from said donation. If recipient does not give a follow up report, the individual or organization will be ineligible for donations the following year.
